One sleeve is much like the other, but believe me this is the second sleeve for the Lady Timberland. This is also a new pattern holding stand thing. In the break between the first sleeve and this one I totally last my mojo with the cable. There was so much tinking back going on that I think I've lost at least a days knitting. In the slow paced world of Timberland that's a big deal.
"Hold on," I hear you say "What about the CustomFit Cardi?" I've done one applied icord button band, but not the second. At first I thought I was procrastinating because I don't like applying icord. This is partly true. After the trial that was the neck band, I have this nagging feeling that these bands will take three goes too. However, this is not the underlying force behind the lack of button band completion. Deep down underneath I am absolutely panicked about installing a zip. If only Knitmore Girl Gigi would come to my house and help me, I'm sure it would all be done in a flash. Instead I shall throw myself on the mercy of YouTube tutorials, and let you know how I get on.
In better news, we have a bed. And carpet, And wardrobes. I woke up on Saturday wondering where I was. It wasn't till I found that Barney (the dog) was tucked up in his usual corner snoring his head off that I realised I was in my own house. In my mind carpet installation was going to make the curtains magically sew themselves, and all our stuff jump into the wardrobes like something out of Fantasia. Perhaps I should have spent more time clearing up, and less time trying to cast spells on the vacuum cleaner. There are a load of wee finishing off jobs to do, but I'm hoping to have my work zone back by the end of the week.
And finally, I have a new and exciting gadget that is coursing all sorts of destraction. More on that later in the week.
